Three more Kurdish political activists arrested

Sunday, 18 July 2010

BOKAN, Eastern Kurdistan -- According to local news agencies three political activists have been detained by Iranian Revolutionary Guards on 14th July 2010. The detainees are named Nasar khazri and Soran Khazri from Bokan and Yasin Poya from Mohabad.

Successive execution and the arbitrary arrest of Iranian people, especially the political activists, have been increased to a large extent. These executions and imprisonments are done with different excuses and only with the aim of threatening more people.

Accordingly they have been arrested under the charge of working with one of the Kurdish political parties which is illegal in Iran. Iranian constitution does not allow any ethnic political parties especially Kurdish ones to work inside Iran. If they advocate any Kurdish basic rights such as cultural, linguistic or humanity, they will certainly be arrested and in some cases are executed.
