‘Prime Minister’s defending abuse of dead bodies is unheard of’

DIHA 16.07.2010- Selahattin Demirtas, co-chair of Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) asked that have you ever seen a Prime Minister who defends abuse of dead bodies referring PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s last speech. Erdogan said that BDP is sending me the pictures of dead terrorists. Should I send them the pictures of dead Turkish soldiers? BDP had recently sent the pictures of abused corpses of HPG to PM to draw attention on the case.
Selahattin Demirtas criticized the last speech given by PM Erdogan. This is unheard of said Demirtas referring Erdogan speech and continued: “If you do not believe us, let us open these dead people’s graves. If we are wrong, we certainly will apologize from you, if not, are you going to apologize from people? The last speech is the most unfortunate speech in his administration term. This disaster belongs to all of us, not just Turkish or Kurdish. If you cannot accept the situation in this way, you cannot solve the problem. Thereby, abused bodies are also our common suffer. You cannot ignore this pain.”

You might define them as a terrorist but this definition cannot justify the torture and abuse of the bodies, added Demirtaş: “If you deformed the faces by using acid to prevent them from being recognized, you need to ask the reasons and bring the responsible to court. Otherwise, this hostility has never helped to solve the problem but gaining more hostility of others.”
